If you are a location which aspires to the vision of Purple Flag but your initial assessment or understanding suggests you are a long way from achieving all the standards, then ATCM can help. We have a range programmes that can help you improve your evening economy or apply for Purple Flag accreditation.

These programmes have been piloted in several locations and helps centres work through the Purple Flag process as a constructive framework towards realising the standards The process could take a few months or a few years! It is dependent on local circumstances.

Which ever programme you decide to undertake, at the end you should be in a clearer position about the needs, priorities and the actions to be taken for a successful night economy and achieve the Purple Flag standards.

Kick-start workshop - Get off to a good start!
 
Are you thinking of entering Purple Flag or improving your evening economy? If so, a Kick-start Workshop, facilitated by a Purple Flag Advisor in your town, can save you time and generate the momentum you need by bringing the right people together at the beginning.

ATCM will supply trained Purple Flag Advisors with first-hand experience of managing, entering or assessing Purple Flag to give you an inside track on how to prepare for a strong entry. ATCM will also supply Purple Flag materials, including health check survey, agendas, presentations and hand-outs.

Evening Economy Development Programme

This flexible programme provides are more intensive range of actives designed for medium to long term. The programme is aimed at centres with a vibrant evening economy but where a diverse range of issues which are impeding its full potential.

There about seven stages to the full programme, but you can pick and mix which modules you undertake. At the end of the process, town centre participants will have:

  • Visions and Baseline review of the evening economy
  • Outline Management Plan for the Evening/Night Time Economy
  • Night Time Performance Audit
  • Priorities for Action
  • Stakeholder Seminar: Working together for Purple Flag
  • Action Planning for Purple Flag: Addressing the challenge
  • Best practice and Networking Opportunities

Tackling these issues needs a collective response from all the key stakeholders; working together to make lasting improvements and changing perceptions.

Fees are applied to taking part in the programme. There are about seven stages in the complete process and each stage costs £3,500 + vat. However, it is flexible and not all places will need to go through each stage. This will depend on the level of support that is required and previous work that has already been carried out.
